Recently, I was honored to be the photographer for Mr. & Mrs. Cameron’s intimate wedding at the Seabrook Sunset Magazine House. Surrounded by the essence of comfort that emanated from the wooden structure, I’d never experienced a warmth such as the kind that came from the smiles all around.
Scott and Jennifer were dazzling in the midst of the chill that had settled over Seabrook on their day of celebration. Family members of the couple flew in from all over the world in order to be there for this special unity between a man and woman. Even I couldn’t help but smile as loved ones embraced, whether it had been ages since they’d seen each other or not.
Black suit offsetting snowy white gown, tea lights that twinkled as if made of stars, and the richness of the rustic home surrounding them made anyone who stepped inside feel a part of another world. Both bride and groom were stunning, and from the start I felt I belonged there. As family and friends gathered, even I felt the excitement as Jennifer descended the staircase toward the aisle.
As she made her way toward her groom, a sunset-colored bouquet in hand, the gentle strum of a live acoustic guitar played in the background. It was a precious and, indeed, unforgettably magical moment.
Glasses were raised overhead as a toast was spoken over the newlyweds. The smiles never ceased and the swelling of happiness continued to flood each heart. Their joy could not be contained as they gazed into each other’s eyes as husband and wife. It was a time I myself won’t forget.
Capturing their love story is a day they will cherish forever, and one I was honored to be a part of.
Sunset Magazine House
Of course, the destination itself cannot be overlooked. The Sunset Magazine House was the perfect location for this destination wedding. The elegance and charm of such a self-sustaining home embraced the attendees with a beautiful welcome.
The Sunset Magazine House was built in 2013 as a way of showcasing “the principles of New Urbanism,” as Inhabitat.com says in the article they wrote about the development. It was made to be green-friendly, all the while being located in the community of Seabrook that is walkable and welcoming.
The Sunset Magazine House is just one example of the variety of Coastal Washington getaways. There are so many around, and any of them would make for beautiful Pacific Northwest weddings. You can find that perfect touch of modern or classic; whatever you choose, Seabrook is one of the loveliest!
